Ayanna Johnson

Ayanna  Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in working with children, adolescents,  families, and adults.  She has over 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health and social work. She has served clients struggling in areas of anxiety, depression, anger, domestic violence, stress, and trauma.  Ayanna finds that helping clients to process and resolve their problems is extremely meaningful and rewarding.  Ayanna is passionate about creating a safe space for clients to find their voice and strengths, as well as developing a healthy sense of identity and personal empowerment.  Her desire is to assist clients with recognizing and gaining the skills and tools they need to lead healthy, authentic and fulfilling lives.   

Ayanna approaches therapy with the use of various evidenced-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strength Based Therapy, Trauma Informed and Family Systems. She brings a calm, non-judgmental and compassionate approach to working with clients in an effort to help clients make progress towards their individual goals.   

Ayanna believes counseling is a powerful tool and source of support to help clients identify and explore moods or behaviors, provide a different perspective, and help clients to feel empowered to develop possible solutions and effective coping strategies.
