Tracy Taris

Mrs. Taris is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. She treats depression, anxiety, marital conflict, self-esteem issues, and creative blocks. Mrs. Taris maintains a private practice office in Newhall/Valencia California, in the Santa Clarita Valley and she also works with clients from the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles area.

With over ten years’ experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Azusa Pacific University, specializing in marital, family systems, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic therapy, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are teaching clients how to manage their relationships, get a better handle on their moods, figure out what's holding them back from the life they envision for themselves, and curbing anxiety. Specialty populations include Creative People (writers, artists, actors, musicians), Christians (who specifically want to work with a Christian Therapist), and People who need Empowerment due to feelings and beliefs that their life is not within their own control or due to overall feelings of not being “good enough” or “worthy.”

For people who want a Christian perspective, Tracy offers faith-based guidance and counseling designed to help you integrate your beliefs as you are working toward healthier relationships with others, with yourself and ultimately within your relationship with God.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Tracy teaches workshops and seminars to general audiences speaking on the topics of Anger, Mood & Stress Management, Parenting, and Marriage Relationship issues. She has also published articles on family and parenting in The Santa Clarita Valley Signal newspaper and other media outlets.

Tracy uses several therapy modalities to help you find solutions to what is troubling you. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
